Hilton has come out on top as the World’s Best Workplace by Fortune magazine and Great Place to Work – marking the first time a hospitality company has achieved the top honour.

The win comes after Hilton’s eight consecutive appearances on the “World’s Best” list.

“Around the world at Hilton, our 460,000 team members are united by a common purpose: to fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality,” said Hilton President and CEO, Chris Nassetta.

“That purpose was formed more than a century ago, when Conrad Hilton set out to change the world through travel. He built this company on the noble premise that Hilton could be a force for good in the world, and famously urged us all to think big, act big, and dream big.

“Today’s recognition by Great Place to Work and Fortune is validation that our team members were the people he imagined in his bright vision for the future. It is their dedication, hospitality and passion for the stays they create that has made Hilton the No. 1 best place to work in the world.”

Hilton was recognised for its efforts across numerous areas including diversity and inclusion, wellness, flexibility, as well as training and skill development to support career progression.

Hilton, along with the Hilton Global Foundation, also announced the launch of Hilton Cares – a program that will provide US$500,000 in scholarships and financial assistance for both team members and members of the community seeking to build careers in hospitality.

Within APAC, Hilton has ranked as the top hospitality company to work for in Asia for seven consecutive years, in China for eight consecutive years and top company overall in China for three consecutive years.

Hilton President, Asia Pacific, Alan Watts, said the accolade “validates what we have worked hard to create over many years – a workplace experience centered around inclusion, wellness, growth and purpose.”

“I am incredibly proud of our 61,000 Team Members in Asia Pacific. This achievement is thanks to their dedication and the work they do to deliver the most reliable and friendly stays across our region every day,” Watts said.

In 2023, Hilton was also named the top hospitality company in Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore, as well as the top workplace in India.

“We are always building on our culture through enterprise initiatives and tangible programs based on inputs by our Team Members to deliver a fully human experience,” said Hilton Asia Pacific, Vice President, Human Resources, Patsy Ng.

“We pride ourselves on enabling our Team Members to thrive in body, mind and spirit, so that they can bring their best selves to work and back home every day.”
