L'Hôtel Marrakech is one of the new hotels now open to IHG Rewards Club members.

Boutique hotel booking service and travel club, Mr & Mrs Smith, has formed a loyalty partnership with InterContinental Hotels Group which will give IHG Rewards Club members the ability to earn and redeem points at Mr & Mrs Smith club properties globally.

Taking effect from early next year, the partnership will see members gain access to over 500 luxury and boutique properties, more than doubling the current number available through IHG brands including its flagship InterContinental brand along with Kimpton, Regent, Hotel Indigo and Six Senses.

Elite-tier loyalty members staying at a Mr & Mrs Smith property will also receive a ‘Smith Extra’ gift on arrival during each stay. IHG Rewards Club currently has over 100 million members enrolled worldwide, with points earn and burn available when booking a stay through IHG channels.

Organic Tuscan estate Borgo Pignano in the Himalayas is also now book-able for IHG Club members.

The deal sees 14 new countries join the IHG Rewards map where the company currently doesn’t have a hotel including Nepal and Morocco.

IHG Chief Marketing Officer, Claire Bennett, said the new partnership with Mr & Mrs Smith will allow its loyal guests to discover even more of the world.

“By bringing this spectacular collection of award-winning hotels to our direct booking channels, this partnership means members can earn and redeem points in some of the world’s most sought-after destinations – the perfect complement to IHG’s growing luxury and boutique hotel portfolio, which includes InterContinental Hotels & Resorts and Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas.”

“We are hugely excited about the opportunity to bring our growing collection of carefully curated boutique and luxury hotels to millions of IHG Rewards Club loyalty members, so they may join our members in experiencing some of the world’s most seductive hotels,” added Mr & Mrs Smith COO and Co-founder, Tamara Lohan.
