Rooms at Ibis Styles East Perth are bright and colourful, aimed at families.

State government ministers joined Accor executives and business leaders in Perth yesterday as the ceremonial ribbon was cut on Ibis Styles East Perth – the world’s tallest high-rise modular hotel.

Built by Rehawk Property Group, the 252-room property covers 18 floors constructed in a modular format, with storeys fabricated entirely offsite before being delivered and lifted into place. The hotel is located on the edge of Perth’s CBD with access to Langley Park and overlooking the Swan River.

Ibis Styles East Perth features styled entrances to each room, with a high number of interconnecting rooms for families to occupy two rooms yet retain easy access to each other.

Accor Chief Operating Officer, Pacific, Simon McGrath, said the hotel would lead the charge on a new generation of design-led economy hotels.

“The past five years has seen the economy accommodation sector shift dramatically, both in terms of product and guest expectations. Quality, comfort, great aesthetics and genuinely warm service. These are all at the top of the wish list for budget-conscious travellers, and what ibis Styles East Perth delivers – at an affordable price.”

Ibis Styles East Perth is Accor’s 22nd property in Western Australia and 14th in Perth and its surroundings. The hotel is the 29th Ibis Styles in Australia.
