An additional 78 upper-tier rooms have been added to the ibis Budget Sydney Airport as part of a growth strategy in response to strong ongoing demand.

Each of the new rooms are equipped with LCD televisions, ensuite and the brand’s signature ‘Sweet Beds’. In total, the hotel’s inventory has grown from 200 to 278 rooms, with 130 in its Classic category, 70 Standard rooms and the 78 new Superior rooms.

Vintage aeronautical pop-art inspired by the work of Roy Lichtenstein has been fitted to all of the new rooms, along with extra pieces in the reception, lobby and public spaces.

The property is located a short walk from Mascot railway station and offers guests a direct shuttle service to Sydney’s Airport terminals.

Ibis Budget Sydney Airport GM, Tom Marsic, said the expansion addresses strong guest demand for affordable accommodation with direct access to the airport’s facilities.
