Marriott International has expanded to Papua New Guinea with a significant opening marking the launch of its first Marriott Executive Apartments property in the Australia, New Zealand and Pacific region.
Marriott Executive Apartments Port Moresby, a waterside property in the heart of Port Moresby, is set within the mixed-use development of Harbourside South.
It features 88 luxury apartments with premiere hotel services, designed to suit long-stay corporate travellers.
“We are thrilled to establish our inaugural foothold in Papua New Guinea with this milestone opening,” said Marriott International Area Vice President, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific, Sean Hunt.
“This is also a debut for the Marriott Executive Apartments brand in the region, allowing us to diversify our offering to cater to ambitious and adventurous travellers who seek a premium, trusted extended-stay experience.”
The apartments range from one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites to a one-bedroom and two-bedroom penthouse, with each promising “the space, ambiance, and privacy of residential living”.
Each apartment features upscale furnishings, separate sleeping, living, dining and working spaces, a fully equipped kitchen and in-room washer and dryer. Guests also have access to a Marshall Bluetooth sound system, cleaning service and parking.
An Executive Lounge for residents and guests will offer light meals, self-service options and evening cocktails.
Guests will also have access to a 25m outdoor lap pool, leisure pool, a fully equipped gym, spa treatments and a recreation zone for children.
The Harbourside South development – which connects to Harbourside East and West and Port Moresby’s Waterfront – also includes a retail floor and three floors of commercial space.
