Turkish Airlines is set to commence its Australia to Istanbul services, with its inaugural flight due to land at Melbourne Airport at 8.40pm on Saturday, March 2.

This addition to the airline’s route network represents a significant milestone for Turkish Airlines, with Melbourne becoming its 346th destination and Australia its 130th country.

The new flights will operate three times per week with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in use for the airline’s Winter operation and an Airbus A350-900 for Summer.

Professor Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines says the airline is proud to solidify the existing connection between Türkiye and Australia and is excited for passengers to have a travel experience like no other.

“We invite all Australians to visit and enjoy all of the delights that Türkiye has to offer,” Bolat says.

“Our country is where ancient history, vibrant culture, breathtaking landscapes, and tantalising cuisine converge to create a destination unlike any other.

“Through these new services, our aim is to connect Türkiye and Australia, fostering deeper connections among our people and enhancing the ties between our nations.”
