Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has introduced the first Ramada Encore by Wyndham hotel in Japan, with the opening of a 235-key property in Amagasaki.

Ramada Encore by Wyndham Amagasaki marks the entry of the first international hotel brand to the city.

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts President, Asia Pacific, Joon Aun Ooi, said the opening demonstrates the long-term potential Wyndham sees in the market and in Asia Pacific more broadly.

“As travellers continue to seek out refreshing experiences in new cities, our growing presence in the country will enable us to warmly welcome our guests with our iconic “Count on Me” service culture,” he said.

“Famous for its historical and cultural landmarks, Amagasaki offers guests an escape from city life and boundless opportunities to dine, wine and unwind in its famed onsens.”

One of 24 brands in Wyndham’s global brand portfolio, Ramada Encore by Wyndham is designed to meet the modern travellers’ needs with well-designed rooms and multifunctional common areas that can serve as a lobby, reception, restaurant, and bar.

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has partnered with Wyndham Destinations to manage the hotel. In the coming months, the Wyndham Destinations Japan team will renovate and modernise the common areas, guest rooms, and more.

“Adding the Ramada Encore by Wyndham Amagasaki to our portfolio of managed properties in Japan will help us to add value to more people from across the country and around the world at a time when consumer confidence – as well as curiosity about destinations that are a bit off the beaten path – are growing,” said Wyndham Destinations President and Managing Director International Operations, Barry Robinson.
