Virgin Australia is back to Nadi from mid-December

Virgin Australia is offering a massive incentive to get the nation fully vaccinated, with the carrier giving away Business Class flights, Lounge memberships and 1 million Velocity points.

The airline is offering hundreds of prizes to vaccinated Australians in its VA-X & Win competition, which Virgin Australia Group CEO and Managing Director, Jayne Hrdlicka, said was about rewarding Australians who have played their part in protecting the community and re-opening the country.

“Vaccination is our way back to the things we love and the people we miss, and most importantly, it’s the only way we can protect the lives and livelihoods of all Australians,” she said.

Virgin Australia Group CEO, Jayne Hrdlicka.

“We are all in this together and the sooner we are vaccinated to the thresholds required by government, the sooner we can return to a quality way of life that includes travelling freely within our own country and abroad.

“We are offering an opportunity for every fully vaccinated Australian aged 18 and over to enter the Virgin Australia VA-X & Win competition, for simply rolling up their sleeve, getting vaccinated and protecting their community and the future of our country.

“Winners can walk (or fly!) away with some fantastic prizes including Business Class flights, Lounge memberships, Virgin Australia pyjamas and our major prize that’ll make one lucky Australian an overnight Velocity Points millionaire.

Virgin Australia is offering a chance at one million Velocity points to a major prize winner in its new vaccination incentive.

“We know how important it is to reach the vaccination thresholds as soon as possible, especially for those people living in New South Wales and Victoria, and we’re proud to play our part in adding to the benefits of getting vaccinated.

“We all have a role to play in ensuring our country is safe and we can return to our basic freedoms and all the jobs and prosperity that come with that.

“For 21 years, we have used our voice for good in the community and this is just another element of our service,” Hrdlicka said.

First announced in June, the total competition prize pool is valued at more than AU$150,000 with the major prize making one lucky Australian a Velocity Frequent Flyer Points millionaire.
