Quest Apartment Hotels has perfectly marked the relaxation of Victoria’s intrastate travel restrictions by opening doors to two new locations in one day.

In Melbourne’s north, Quest has opened its 42nd property in the metropolitan area with Quest Preston comprising 79 apartments ranging in size from studio to two-bedroom. Developed by longstanding Quest partner, Pellicano, the new Preston location comes at a time of significant urban renewal which will see the nearby Reservoir and Broadmeadows areas evolve to become new hubs of residential and commercial activity amid a booming local population.

At the same time in northern Victoria, Quest has taken the covers off the new Quest Wangaratta to mark its debut in the region. Built by Joss Construction, the 79-key development features a mix of apartments from 1-3 bedrooms located close to the train station. The opening of Quest Wangaratta comes as the regional centre continues its own urban upgrade program where AUD$6 million has been spent on improving local connectivity.

Quest Preston is the company’s 42nd location in metropolitan Melbourne.

Quest Chief Operating Officer, David Mansfield, said he was proud to open doors to the new locations and looked forward to seeing the role each would play in their local communities.

“Quest Preston will accommodate professionals involved in the nearby level crossing removal project at Murray Road, Cramer Street, Bell Street and Oakover Road in Preston and we look forward to continuing to accommodate the many people who will be involved in the precinct’s ongoing advancement.

“Not only is Wangaratta a popular tourist destination among the visiting friends and relatives market, but it’s also a frequented regional hub for business trips,” Mansfield added.

Quest Wangaratta is the fourth Quest development completed by Joss Construction, with the 11-month construction project employing 90% of its tradespeople from the local area.

Quest Wangaratta comes amid as time of urban revitalisation in the Victorian regional centre.

Both new openings include all of the Quest hallmarks, including internal kitchens and laundries, with a fully equipped fitness centre and business facilities available on-site too. Quest Wangaratta also features a communal landscapes BBQ area to further enhance its appeal with both business and leisure travel.

The company has navigated the COVID-19 pandemic with cautious optimism but remains on track with its development schedule. Following the openings this year of Quest Robina, Quest Palmerston North in New Zealand and Quest Perth Ascot, the company will close the year with yet another Victorian opening when Quest Ballarat Station welcomes guests before the end of 2020.
