Piermont Retreat in Swansea, Tasmania is part of the Mr & Mrs Smith Travel Club.

More than 400 luxury and lifestyle boutique hotels under the Mr & Mrs Smith travel club portfolio are now available to book for members of IHG Rewards members after the two parties came together in a new loyalty partnership.

First revealed more than a year ago, the partnership opens up the collection for booking through IHG’s direct channels including online and via its mobile app. More hotels will be added to the range each week, with the full suite of 1,600 properties in 90 countries available by the end of the year.

IHG Chief Marketing Officer, Claire Bennett, said the dream of when we can all explore the world once again has just become better for IHG Rewards members.

“A loyalty programme isn’t just about the points – it’s about access to extraordinary experiences. This partnership does both,” she said.

Thousand Lakes Lodge in Tasmania’s Central Highlands is a popular Mr & Mrs Smith property.

“Mr & Mrs Smith is exactly the right partner for us – they too are hotel lovers who shaped the industry. Together our portfolio of luxury and lifestyle hotels now stretches from Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spa, Regent Hotels & Resorts, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and Hotel Indigo through to some of the special independent and small boutique hotels in the world.”

Australian properties part of the Mr & Mrs Smith include Kingsford Homestead in the Barossa Valley, with guests able to take advantage of perks including an outdoor private bath, vineyard views and a stocked wine cellar. Others include Orpheus Island in North Queensland, Piermont Retreat in Swansea on Tasmania’s eastern coast and even competing brands such as QT Sydney, Ovolo Woolloomooloo and The Calile Hotel in Brisbane.

The loyalty partnership will offer bonuses to Elite members of IHG Rewards including bonus points on eligible room rates, room upgrades and welcome gifts.
