Customers eager to check out the recently opened Crowne Plaza Hobart can register now for up to 20 virtual tours of the new property, which began welcoming guests from 1 July.
Beginning this week and running until next Tuesday, virtual tours of the property are available at 10:30am, 11:30am, 2:30pm and 3:30pm, with tickets to check out the hotel free of charge.
The 235-room newbuild hotel on Liverpool Street offers guests views of either Hobart’s Constitution Dock and the harbour or Mount Wellington and also includes the city’s first Club Lounge offering guests evening canapes and beverages.
Rooms have been designed and furnished to reflect the history and landscape of Hobart mixed with design integrity. Each boasts a colour scheme emblematic of a harbour city, with blue, silver and grey displayed prominently. The hotel also features distinctive reds and browns to pay homage to the mountains to the city’s west.
In the lobby, guests will be greeted by a variety of artistic pieces commissioned to local Tasmanian artists as an extra design element. The hotel is the first of the brand’s properties in Australia to feature the business-friendly ‘Future of Crowne Plaza’ brand concept, which includes elements such as on-demand meeting space and embedded in-room technology designed to help guests maximise their stay with designated areas encouraging work, recreation and rest.
Technology is a key feature of the hotel, with touch-pad controls, digital in-room compendium and state-of-the-art television and WiFi connection.
Crowne Plaza Hobart features two new dining concepts, led by signature restaurant Core, along with The Deck, a vibrant outdoor deck and bar overlooking the city. Both venues will be led by Executive Chef, John Churchill, known for his celebration of local produce and sustainable dining practices.
For meetings, Crowne Plaza Hobart will feature six versatile spaces able to change to suit needs, including a spacious ballroom and virtual conferencing capabilities from its meeting rooms.
