Australian-owned accommodation group, Pacific Hotels, has recruited three senior hotel executives to key leadership positions in Queensland at the group’s hotels in Brisbane and Mackay.
Pacific Hotel Brisbane, located in Spring Hill, has a new General Manager in Neil Hetherington, who brings 15 years of knowledge to the role in taking charge of the 179-room property. He brings significant experience in hospitality to the role, having served in senior roles, including General Manager, at Kooralbyn Hotel and The Watermark Brisbane along with time at Mantra Richmont Hotel in Brisbane.
Hetherington will be backed up by the hotel’s new Director of Sales, Lachlan Rentell, who moves from Minor Hotel Group where he spent the previous seven years.
Further north, Coral Cay Mackay has a new Hotel Manager in Melissa Hoare, who brings experience in hotel operations, sales and revenue management to her new role. The 82-room resort, which was acquired by Pacific Hotels in 2019, has been recently refreshed with a modern look aimed at regional corporate and leisure travellers moving through Queensland.
In addition, Pacific Hotels is celebrating ten years of service for its Director of Sales – Leisure, Vernon Hyden, who is primarily responsible for the group’s international guest pipeline.
