Professional services firm Aon has named Marriott International as one of Australia’s best employers as part of its annual poll – the sixth year in succession the hotel giant has been awarded the accolade.
Aon’s ‘Best Employers in Australia’ workplace survey aims to showcase attributes of excellence at a corporate level including employee engagement, leadership, agility and talent focus. Marriott International is the only company to have featured among Aon’s Best Employer list since the study was first created six years ago.
In addition, Marriott International was ranked among Aon’s Best Employers in New Zealand following its entry into the market via the Four Points by Sheraton Auckland.
Aon’s cited Marriott’s Global Voyage Leadership Development Program and its Development Academy, designed respectively for university graduates and aspiring managers to reach the next level in their careers. The programs have resulted in more than 55% of the company’s leadership positions filled internally.
Marriott International Area Director of Human Resources, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, Natasha Rasheed, said the company believes in taking care of its people, who in turn take care of its guests.
