A new mixed-use, six-storey development in the northern Melbourne suburb of Preston will become the newest dot on the Quest Apartment Hotels map, the company has announced.

Quest Preston will occupy half of this development, the construction of which is being led by property developer Pellicano – the same company leading the building of Quest Robina on the Gold Coast, which is due to open in 2020.

The new low-rise property in Preston will offer 79 serviced apartments above ground-floor retail, with 21 private residential apartments also to be made available. It will join with stablemate Quest properties in Epping, Bundoora and Ivanhoe to service the growing business and corporate ecosystems.

Quest Apartment Hotels General Manager – Growth, James Shields, said Preston was currently enjoying annual growth of five per cent. The region has $36 billion in confirmed infrastructure in various stages, including the Melbourne Airport Rail Link and major new arterial roadways. Up to 10,000 jobs will be hosted in the area over long-term projections being measured by the Victorian government.

“With easy access to key drivers such as Melbourne Polytechnic, Northland Shopping Centre, and a burgeoning reputation for its multicultural food offering this property will be attractive to both corporate and leisure travelers” Shields said.
