Byron Bay-based holiday rental and management brand A Perfect Stay has embarked on a national expansion strategy through the acquisition of Melbourne-based brand Boutique Stays, the company has announced.

Having grown from one studio property in 2004 to an east-coast network, the latest acquisition has added 65 properties and taken the company to a collection now numbering more than 300. The small operation owned and run by Sonya and Garth Brian has accommodated over 160,000 guests over 910,000 room nights since its inception and now expects to surpass its one-millionth night before Christmas 2019.

Currently operating primarily in Southeast Queensland and Northern NSW, A Perfect Stay promotes and sells room nights in coastal holiday rentals and manages properties at both ends of the process, including facilitating exchange of keys, managing renovations, cleaning, maintenance and provision of a managerial contact for guests to access during a stay.

With properties in the Mornington Peninsula of Victoria now added to the group, further expansion into Brisbane and Sydney is also on the cards for the company, along with regional areas and leisure destinations nationwide.

“We’ve seen exponential organic growth since establishing the business in 2004,” said A Perfect Stay National Marketing Manager, Angela Spehr.

“We put this down to the fact that Australians want a ‘perfect’ getaway without dealing with cancelled bookings and false advertisements. Both guests and homeowners want professionalism and reliability when booking a holiday and this is reflected by the growing number of guest bookings with us every year.”
