The 2019 New Zealand Hotel Industry Conference is shaping up to be an unmissable event for all those interested in keeping up-to-date on hotel issues and operations.

#NZHIC19 is the premier annual event for New Zealand’s hotel sector and will extend over two days, 19-20 June 2019, at Cordis, Auckland.

Registrations are open at www.nzhotelconference.com Register early because the conference has sold out for the last four years.

Tourism Industry Aotearoa co-hosts the conference with leading hotel sector consultants Horwath HTL, with support from Platinum Sponsor Scenic Hotel Group.

Horwath HTL Director Stephen Hamilton says that after several years of spectacular growth, it is time for a ‘reality check’.

“We’ll be investigating some of the big picture trends and international headwinds that will impact our hotel sector. With so many new hotels under development in New Zealand, what does this mean for the sector?”

Confirmed speakers for the plenary event on 20 June include Hilton Hotels Vice President of Operations Australasia Heidi Kunkel, Tourism New Zealand Chief Executive Stephen England-Hall and SKYCITY Entertainment Group Chief Executive Graeme Stephens. Former Prime Minister and Tourism Minister Sir John Key is keynote speaker.

The first day of the conference, on Wednesday 19 June, will feature the Hotel Forum and Property Forum, focusing on operational and investment issues affecting hotels.

For the first time, the Conference Exhibition will take place over both days of the conference, giving delegates plenty of opportunity to interact with more than 30 leading specialist providers of goods and services to hotels.

#NZHIC19 will culminate in a Gala Dinner and the presentation of the New Zealand Hotel Industry Awards. These awards are unique in recognising and celebrating individuals who are doing an excellent job in key roles in their hotels.

Entries for the Awards are open until 29 April at www.nzhotelconference.com
