Hilton Worldwide has appointed Guy Hutchinson as Vice President of Operations for India.

The company presently operates 12 hotels in the country under four of its brands and continues to expand its network rapidly through a multi-brand, multiple partners and high-growth strategy.

Hutchinson’s experience in the hospitality industry spans two decades and encompasses positions in the United Kingdom, Europe, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Australia and China.

In his new assignment, Hutchinson, who was General Manager of Hilton Cairns from 2005-2008, is responsible to Martin Rinck, President, Asia Pacific, Hilton Worldwide, and is based at the company’s India Regional Office in Gurgaon, Delhi NCR.

“I am delighted to have Hutchinson join the Operational Leadership Team of Asia Pacific and take charge of one of our most important markets,” Rinck said. “Hutchinson is an outstanding example of our commitment to grooming talent from within Hilton Worldwide, having proven himself in all of his previous roles.

“His extensive experience across different geographies will stand in good stead in this very important assignment.”

Prior to taking charge in India, Hutchinson was Regional General Manager for North China, where he was responsible for all brands in the Hilton Worldwide portfolio that have a presence in North China and Mongolia, including Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts, Conrad Hotels and Resorts, Hilton Hotels and Resorts and DoubleTree by Hilton.
