Accor’s design-led midscale brand, Tribe, is set to debut in New Zealand in summer 2024 with the opening of Tribe Auckland Fort Street, in partnership with CP Group.

Located close to central Britomart and the Commercial Bay precinct, the hotel will bring a bold design with 60 compact guest rooms, a lobby bar, terrace and social hub.

Accor Pacific Chief Operating Officer PME, Adrian Williams, expects the brand will resonate with domestic and international guests.

“The introduction of Tribe to New Zealand underpins our expansion strategy throughout the region – to introduce brands and hotels that respond to the needs and wants of modern travellers,” Williams said.

“Today’s travellers seek simplicity, affordability, and connectivity in a design-led environment. They know that comfort and fair prices can co-exist and that’s exactly what Tribe hotels offer – spaces that are smart, stylish and comfortable, at a great price.

“We are excited to partner with CP Group to introduce this one-of-a-kind concept to New Zealand with Tribe Auckland Fort Street. With its bold personality and socially connected culture, the hotel will become a hub that excites and inspires both travellers and locals.”

The new hotel will feature function design-driven spaces, with common areas the focal point, featuring iconic design objects and contrasting colours.

“Tribe Auckland Fort Street will be a new kind of hotel that offers not just accommodation but also acts as a social destination and collaborative space,” a representative for CP Group said.

“Born in Australia in 2017, from the visionary minds of Mark and Melissa Peters, Tribe embodies the essence of contemporary living and travel.

“Tribe’s 15 hotels across the globe are just the beginning with more than 40 hotels currently under development, including flagship addresses in France and the UK.
