Trilogy Hotels has welcomed five key leaders to its team

Independent hotel management company, Trilogy Hotels, is expanding its team with the appointment of five experienced executives to its leadership team.

Shaizeen Contractor has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer; Mardi Sparrow joins as Chief People Officer; Ben Salter has been named Director of Distribution and Systems; Josie Hungerford has been appointed Director of Growth; and Corporate Affairs and Amanda Warner takes up the role of Corporate Support Manager.

Bringing over 20 years of industry experience, Shaizeen Contractor was previously Senior Commercial Director of Australasia at Hilton Hotel, responsible for driving the sales, marketing, distribution, and revenue management strategy for Hilton’s 31 hotels across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea.

As the Australasia lead for Hilton’s APAC Women Team Member Resource Group, she has supported many in their career journey and growth at Hilton.

Contractor also spent eleven years with TFE Hotels, including as Group Director of Sales and Distribution and Chief Revenue Officer, and four years in New York as Area Director of Revenue for leading US independent hotel management group, Highgate Hotels.

At Trilogy Hotels, she is tasked with leading a cohesive commercial strategy for the company’s growing portfolio.

HR professional Mardi Sparrow brings over 20 years of experience, most recently as Director of Human Resources Australasia and Pacific at IHG – overseeing 48 managed hotels and 6500 employees across eight countries – and previously as Area Director of Human Resources at key InterContinental properties across Japan and Australia.

Having started her career in hotel operations, Sparrow’s first role in Human Resources was with the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games; she has also held Human Resources and L&D leadership positions for numerous global brands including Shangri-La, Radisson, and Raffles.

In this new role, she will oversee the development and implementation of best practices across the employee life cycle at each of Trilogy’s hotels, to enhance employee engagement and retention.

As Director of Distribution and Systems, Ben Salter will apply his 30+ years of industry experience managing revenue, sales and distribution teams at Accor and Stamford Hotels and Resorts.

Salter most recently served as Director of Distribution Systems for Accor in the Pacific, overseeing more than 400 hotels across the Pacific. In this role, he will oversee distribution strategy and systems ecosystems, working with commercial teams to implement and administer a targeted distribution strategy, to lower channel costs, maximise occupancy, and enhance revenue.

Trilogy’s new Director of Growth and Corporate Affairs, Josie Hungerford, joins from Radisson Hotel Group, where she held the position of Associate Director of Development, responsible for sourcing and securing hotel management and franchising opportunities in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Having begun her career as a corporate lawyer, she spent several years advising global companies, and worked on hotel, resort and mixed-use transactions as well as commercial dispute resolution and international regulatory matters.

At Trilogy, she will drive portfolio growth strategy and large-scale corporate projects.

Corporate Support Manager, Amanda Warner, will be responsible for planning and executing the company’s administrative workflows and supporting the executive team.

Warner brings extensive experience in administration and supporting teams across multiple industries, including non-profit, legal and sales.

In her most recent role, as Talent and Culture Coordinator with Accor, she facilitated hotel recruitment, onboarding, and company-wide initiatives.
