The Ascott Limited, Australia has opened a 71-key Quest property as part of a billion-dollar Novm development in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire.
Located within Woolooware Bay Town Centre – a precinct that includes a shopping centre, waterfront parklands, a shared pedestrian/cycle path, outdoor fitness zones and children’s playground – Quest Woolooware Bay is close to the ocean, golf courses and PointsBet Stadium.
“Quest Woolooware Bay fills a gap in the local market for amenity rich, comfortable and flexible accommodation,” said Ascott Australia’s General Manager of Growth and Capital Strategy, James Shields.
“Ascott identified key opportunities in the local market including VFR, allied health, b2b and construction which have all historically relied on short stay rental offerings. Ascott’s latest property stands in prime position to service this demand.”
Speaking of the partnership with Novm, Shields said Quest chooses development partners that share the same values and prioritise quality over quantity for sustainable growth.
“Our focus is on building lasting relationships and working together to deliver the best outcomes for Quest business owners and guests,” he said.
Novm CEO and Executive Director, Adrian Liaw, said he looks forward to seeing the area come to life.
“Woolooware Bay has always had the vision of being a destination where people could live, work and play,” Liaw said.
“By having Quest Woolooware Bay, Novm looks forward to it also being a place people can “stay” with the tourism component of the project now coming to life. With the stadium and Bay Central shopping centre just below, and Cronulla only minutes away, everything is within reach for guests.”
The property features a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom serviced apartments plus accessible rooms, as well as a garden terrace overlooking Woolooware Bay.
Designed by Turner, Quest Woolooware Bay’s interiors reflect the natural landscape that surround it.
“The lobby is light filled and inviting, and flows into the adjacent suite of meeting rooms,” said Turner Senior Project Designer (Interiors), Erin Martin.
“The serviced apartments are all designed to capture the substantial views on offer. The interiors are fresh and modern to establish a relaxed coastal character.
“Textured elements, including a combination of timber and light sand tones, blend seamlessly to immerse guests in a warm and inviting ambience for the duration of their stay.”
The latest Quest property is owned by local residents James Winchester and Sarah Dowling as well as Quest Ipswich business owners, Alison and Adam French.
“We live just 500 metres from Quest Woolooware Bay, so we feel blessed to be given the gift of this property,” said Winchester.
“We love how everything from retailing at Bay Central Shopping Centre to waterfront dining and even Wanda beach is in walking distance, and we’re the only place to stay that’s metres from a professional sporting ground in PointsBet Stadium.”
Winchester said the goal is to ensure Quest Woolooware Bay is a place everyone can call home.
“Whether you choose to visit us for work or to spend time with relatives who live in the growing number of apartments here, or for live sport at Shark Park, or for a place to relax surrounded by nature, we have everything on offer from accessbile walks to whale watching,” he said.
“It’s not lost on us that the place of first contact is minutes from Quest Woolooware Bay. The upcoming ferry wharves connecting Kurnell and La Perouse will expand the depth of the cultural experience available here, offering a valuable opportunity for immersion in First Nations culture that encompasses perspectives from both ship and shore.”
