The Sebel Sydney Martin Place has completed a multi-million-dollar refurbishment, revealing a boutique-style experience that brings together heritage and cosmopolitan elements.

A partnership between Accor and Salter Brothers, the 86-room hotel on Philip Street has been transformed with a fresh interior by Stack Studio, centred around style, comfort and convenience.

“Salter Brothers is delighted to work alongside Accor on this newly revealed, rejuvenated city-centre property,” said Salter Brothers Managing Director, Paul Salter.

“Its prime location combined with its personalised, intimate experience, wrapped in an artistic and sophisticated design, brings about a unique offering that the Sydney CBD is yet to witness.”

The hotel reception welcomes guests with a modernised look including feature lighting and artwork, while a bold print carpet leads down the corridor.

Guest rooms – a mix of Superior King Rooms, Deluxe King Room and Classic Queen Rooms – incorporate The Sebel brand shades with neutral and mustard tones and include contemporary furniture, while the in-room kitchenettes feature a signature marble, Italian Terrazzo sourced from Europe, gold cabinets and quality finishes.

Australian company Biology has supplied sustainable toiletries made from locally sourced ingredients, recyclable materials and ocean-safe formulas.

“The Sebel Sydney Martin Place brings a new era of hospitality to the bustling city landscape,” said Accor Pacific Chief Operating Officer PME, Adrian Williams.

“Every aspect of the hotel has been thoughtfully mapped out to enhance customer service and sustainable efforts. Single-use plastic has been eliminated throughout the hotel, using only recyclable products.”

The hotel has also partnered with local food venues Piccolo Me and Bastardo, which can be enjoyed at the hotel and charged to guests’ rooms.
