Qantas has unveiled two special Christmas aircraft bringing festive flair to customers along with double points for all Frequent Flyers who travel on them during the month of December.

A Qantas spokesperson said a QantasLink Q400 ‘Dasher-8’ and 737 ‘Roo-dolph’ will join the national carrier’s fleet throughout December, flying to a number of destinations across the Qantas domestic and regional network.

“Dasher-8 rolled out of the Brisbane hangar this week (Dec 4) decorated in Christmas livery to mark the start of the festive season,” the spokesperson said.

“Customers travelling on Roo-dolph will start their journey with Christmas carols being played throughout boarding and a festive seatback screen.”

Excitingly, customers who find themselves travelling on Dasher-8 or Roo-dolph will receive double Qantas Frequent Flyer points for their flight from now until 31 December 2023.

At the same time, Qantas has also launched a Christmas sale for Australians to book their next getaway, with sale fares available on almost every domestic route.

Domestic Economy sale fares start from $109 one-way, with more than 40 routes on sale for under $150 during a range of travel periods between January to September 2024.
