Hotel Indigo is a brand that exists to illuminate the world within the neighbourhood in a distinct and authentic way, celebrating the people, places and experiences that make the neighbourhood one-of-a-kind.

Last month IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) and Pro-Invest Group announced the much-anticipated opening of Hotel Indigo Sydney Potts Point, debuting the neighbourhood-inspired global boutique brand in Sydney and marking the fourth Hotel Indigo in Australia since the brand was launched here in 2021.

Part of the IHG Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio, Hotel Indigo is unearthing the hidden gems that can only be found in a neighbourhood and inspiring the next generation of travellers to go out and explore. Its newest and current international marketing campaign, The World’s Neighbourhood Hotel, is rooted in the brand’s long-held belief that when you see the world through the neighbourhood, the neighbourhood changes your world.

Just as no two neighbourhoods are alike, no two Hotel Indigos are alike, as each Hotel Indigo property is unique and inspired by local neighbourhood cues designed to ignite curiosity and encourage travellers to explore something new. In Australia, Hotel Indigo Melbourne on Flinders presents edgy, fashion and film-inspired interiors, while Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets draws on the city’s food and festival heritage, featuring locally sourced ingredients in its restaurants.

Hotel Indigo Sydney Potts Point brings this philosophy to life with a multi-million-dollar refurbishment inspired by the eclectic Kings Cross neighbourhood that’s been a place for creatives and revellers for nearly a century. Guests are welcomed into a theatrical Lobby where a specially curated art collection sets the tone and guests can add their own touch to the atmosphere, selecting vintage vinyl records to spin on the lobby’s turntable each evening. Playful elements continue on the guest room floors, with lenticular signage and commissioned artwork paying tribute to the area’s deco architecture and famed cabaret and drag show scene.

Hotel Indigo is a brand that exists to illuminate the world within the neighbourhood in a distinct and authentic way. With 278 open or pipeline hotels globally, including Hotel Indigo Auckland that will open its doors in 2024, the brand is committed to doubling its portfolio globally over the next three to five years.
