Marriott International has signed a deal with a leading property developer in Malaysia, IOI Properties Group, which will see the opening of a W hotel in Downtown Singapore.
The new 350-room property known as W Singapore – Marina View is expected to open in late 2028.
Located in downtown Singapore, at the site of a 51-storey mixed-use development, the hotel will sit under a suite of luxury apartments known as Marina View Residences.
“This signing underscores the strong demand for our luxury brands across the region as we continue to expand our portfolio in new and existing markets,” said Marriott International Managing Director, Luxury Asia Pacific excluding China, Oriol Montal.
“It also marks the opening of our second W Hotels in Singapore, following the success of W Singapore – Sentosa Cove. Singapore is a city that celebrates diversity, creativity and innovation, and W Singapore – Marina View is anticipated to redefine Singapore’s iconic skyline with its evolved design, dynamic programming and Whatever/Whenever service philosophy.”
The hotel is expected to feature stylish and spacious guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants and bars, as well as signature spaces including a Wet deck, Fit fitness centre, Away spa, Woobar and Living Room with always-on programming.

Construction of the development is expected to begin by the end of 2023.
