InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort has unveiled its AU$2.5 million Lagoon Beach Club after four months of renovations.

The first of its kind on the Northern Gold Coast, the Lagoon Beach Club is inspired by European summer with waterside dining and a relaxed atmosphere.

“As the northern Gold Coast becomes more populated, there is a gap in the market for a destination inspired venue that brings the “beach” to this part of the coast,” said InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort General Manager, Matt Rippin.

“The Lagoon Beach Club celebrates the Resort’s iconic lagoon pool, adding a beach club influenced by European summers and grounded by its Australian home. It puts Sanctuary Cove on the map  in a bigger way than ever before.

“We anticipate high demand over the summer months for a space that brings together residents, locals and visitors with an experience we know they will love.”

The refurbished beach club includes direct access from the marina to the resort, an expansive deck for events and dining, three Cabanas and double day beds for guests.

The new food and beverage menus focus on seafood, share plates and a range of pizzas, alongside classic summer-style cocktails.

“It was important for us to create a fresh, vibrant and contemporary space that touches on the fun of a European beach club and also caters to families,” Rippin said.

“It’s a holiday experience that transports guests far away from their busy lives.”

The beach club will offer a schedule of live music, DJ sessions and activations over the summer holidays.
