Rydges hotels across Australia will welcome a host of community artists to perform every week in November as part of a month-long celebration of the Australian music industry.

It’s the second year in a row that Rydges is supporting Ausmusic Month – an annual celebration that drives awareness of local musicians and encourages financial support of the industry.

The performances, which will be free to Rydges guests, will feature talented local singer-songwriters as well as former Voice contestants.

To round out the month-long celebration, on November 30, Rydges team members will don Ausmusic T-Shirts as part of Support Act’s annual fundraiser, Ausmusic T-Shirt Day, to raise funds for music workers in crisis.

“Rydges is about true-blue Aussie hospitality, and we are delighted to be supporting Ausmusic Month for the second year,” said Rydges General Manager Hotel Operations, EVT, Troy Cuthbertson.

“Our staff will be wearing Ausmusic T-Shirts and we invite guests and locals alike to stop by your local Rydges for a drink, bite to eat and watch a live performance by a talented local artist. And don’t forget to get involved in Ausmusic T-Shirt Day!”

Support Act CEO, Clive Miller, said the charity is thrilled to have Rydges return as a partner for the event.

“The Rydges loves local philosophy is the perfect fit for us and a critical partner to help showcase local talent,” Miller said.

“Australian musicians not only need platforms to perform, but also financial support and we appreciate Rydges support of both.”
