Hyde Dubai

Ennismore’s bohemian lifestyle brand Hyde is set to make its Australian debut next year with the opening of a transformed Perth CBD hotel in partnership with Ark Capital Partners and property development specialists Kyko Group, HM can exclusively reveal.

Located on Pier Street, Hyde Perth will offer 120 stylish guest rooms – including 18 suites – ample social areas, two meetings and events spaces, a restaurant, and a bar that connects with a tropical-themed outdoor pool area to create a “playful beach club ambience”.

Ark Capital Partners Managing Director – Acquisitions and Asset Management, Mark Bullock, said Perth was the perfect place to introduce the brand to the market.

“We are thrilled to partner with Ennismore to bring the first Hyde Hotel to Perth, a city that is renowned for its progressive culture, quality cuisine, and creative pulse, because the Hyde brand fits perfectly with this seductive Perth vibe,” he said.

“We will work with the Ennismore team to ensure that every inch of the hotel is designed to create a sense of connection and creativity to unlock its full potential.”

With roots in the LA club scene of the early noughties, the Hyde brand is a celebration of music and nightlife. And its Perth location intends to deliver a fresh take on music, dining and drinks with dedicated entertainment spaces and a curated programme of live performances.

Ennismore CO-CEO Gaurav Bhushan said the hotel is “grounded in the spirit of freedom and discovery”.

“We believe Hyde is an ideal cultural fit for Perth, where it can serve as a cultural touchpoint for locals and international travellers,” Bhushan added.

Western Australia’s colourful landscape provides rich design inspiration for the new hotel, which will serve as a place to connect with a sofa-filled lobby and long tables that encourage conversation.

Fresh local produce will dominate the menu at its lively in-house restaurant, while innovative cocktails will be on offer at its trendy hotel bar.

Tourism Western Australia Managing Director, Carolyn Turnbull, welcomed the addition of Hyde to Perth’s hotel landscape saying it will be a hit with travellers.

“We are delighted that Ennismore chose Perth for its first Hyde hotel in Australia,” she said.

“Tourism WA is excited to welcome this new premium accommodation offering, which will reflect Perth’s cosmopolitan urban culture and create an unforgettable visitor experience for Western Australians and travellers to enjoy.

“It’s a wonderful time to be joining WA’s thriving hospitality and tourism industry, as we continue to see increased visitation to Western Australia.”

With properties in a wide range of destinations from Miami to Dubai and Ibiza, Hyde continues to gain momentum globally with Hyde hotels currently planned for Queenstown, London City and Bodrum.
