Minor Hotels is set to open a new ultra-private luxury resort under the Anantara brand in the United Arab Emirates in the fourth quarter of 2023.

The 22-key Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat is located in Ghantoot, a coastal enclave approximately halfway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, offering uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf.

“This will be an exciting new addition to our luxury portfolio of properties across the United Arab Emirates,” said Minor International Group CEO, Dillip Rajakarier.

“With a fantastic location equidistant between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, this ultra-private property offers exceptional facilities for full buy-outs, especially those seeking an intimate boutique experience unlike anywhere else in the UAE.”

Created to reflect the low-lying white buildings of its namesake island, Anantara Santorini features spacious interiors and a refined décor with soft, neutral furnishings

The resort offers a private beach, an expansive outdoor pool and indoor cinema. Guests can avail of bespoke spa treatments in private beachside cabanas and 24-hour butler service.

A restaurant dedicated to the heritage of the region heroes local ingredients and spices, while an ocean-side restaurant will serve delicacies from Greece.

Minor Hotels has eight Anantara hotels and resorts in the UAE and a total of 11 in the Middle East region.

A strong pipeline across multiple brands will see the introduction of future properties in the UAE, Qatar and upcoming debuts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
