HM Magazine in partnership with Hotel Council Aotearoa is set to recognise top performers in New Zealand’s hotel industry with the launch of the inaugural Aotearoa Hotel Industry Leadership Awards this October.
The leadership awards will be celebrated at the second Aotearoa Hotel Industry Conference and Exhibition (AHICE) which takes place in Wellington on October 10-11, 2023.
“The Aotearoa Hotel Industry Leadership Awards recognise excellence in leadership across the industry,” said AHICE Convenor and Chair, James Wilkinson.
“Over three categories, outstanding leaders will be celebrated for their hard work and dedication to hospitality.
“The Awards include service to the industry, outstanding team performance and senior executive leadership.”
Aotearoa Hotel Industry Leadership Awards categories
The Hotel Industry Act of Service Award recognises someone who has gone above and beyond in their role over the previous 12 months.
The award for Hotel Industry Outstanding Team of the Year honours a team that has performed exceptionally well over the previous 12 months.
While the award for Hotel Industry Senior Executive of the Year recognises a hotel leader who has excelled over the previous 12 months. This category applies to individuals in a General Manager position or above, including Vice Presidents, Chief Operating Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Executive Officers, Head of Operations, from a hotel, chain or an owner.
Nominations for the 2023 Aotearoa Hotel Industry Leadership Awards close on Friday 22 September.
All winners will be announced at the AHICE Aotearoa gala networking event at Tākina Wellington presented by IHG Hotels and Resorts on Tuesday 10 October.
