HM magazine’s inaugural Asia Hotel Industry Conference and Exhibition (AHICE), with a key focus on South-East Asia, taking place in Singapore on February 28-29, 2024, is quickly gathering some major momentum, with more operators and owners signing up for major sponsorships.

This week, Travel and Leisure and The Ascott Limited, a member of Capitaland Investment, have both committed to major sponsorships, as Principal Partners and Diamond Sponsors respectively, boosting an event that is quickly growing into a must-attend event for operators, owners, advisers, investors and suppliers alike.

Being held at the striking new Pan Pacific Orchard Singapore alongside key networking events at of several of the city’s hottest new hotels, AHICE South-East Asia is an event that will set the tone for what the region can expect for the year ahead.

Travel and Leisure and The Ascott Limited have joined a stellar sponsor line-up that also includes headline partners Marriott International and Pan Pacific (Principal), Pro-Invest Group and Wayfarer (Diamond), Outrigger Hospitality Group and Swiss-Belhotel International (Emerald), DeBeaurepaire Wines, FutureLog, Luxury Escapes, THSA, Travmedia and Wyndham Hotel Group (Gold) and BWH Hotel Group (Silver).

AHICE Chair and Convenor and HM’s Editor-In-Chief, James Wilkinson, said the event would take a deep dive into what the accommodation industry can expect in South-East Asia going forward.

Wilkinson said AHICE South-East Asia would have the event’s signature blend of a fusion of operations, management, ownership and investment, something that’s helped AHICE grow over the past 15 years into Asia-Pacific’s leading and most influential hotel industry conference brand.

“We are excited AHICE South-East Asia has been gaining so much traction in the industry and that’s on the back of demand for the content AHICE has been able to produce successfully in both Australia and New Zealand,” he said.

“Many global executives have asked us to bring our globally-renowned style of content to South East Asia and the rapid growth of the event is a testament to what’s been missing in the region.

“Like our other AHICE events, our content will be primarily focused on operations, ownership, franchising, timeshare and management, alongside top-shelf global investment in the region,” Wilkinson said.

The launch of AHICE South-East Asia comes during an exciting year for the region, which will see global events and information business Questex expand its global footprint in the operational real estate and hospitality marketplace with an all-new IHIF Asia event to be held in Hong Kong in the third quarter of 2024.

Both Questex and HM’s parent company The Intermedia Group are partnering on the launches of AHICE South-East Asia and IHIF Asia and both businesses will bring support through marketing, sales and content expertise to the new world-class events.

In just over a month, the latest edition of AHICE Aotearoa will be held in Wellington on October 9-10 and the event is shaping up to be one of New Zealand’s best-ever hotel industry events, with over 600 confirmed to attend and the ‘full house’ sign close to being put up.

Further major partnerships for AHICE South-East Asia are expected to be announced over the coming week and to join the stellar line-up, visit ahiceconference.com
