Quest Apartment Hotels introduced its latest New Zealand property with the arrival of Quest Mt Maunganui on Monday June 12.

The 40-key property in the Bay of Plenty will include a mixture of studios, one and two-bedroom apartments to accommodate the short and extended stay corporate traveller as well as leisure travellers exploring the region.

Quest Apartment Hotels (NZ), Chief Operating Officer, Adrian Turner, says it’s the first of three properties opening in 2023.

“Quest has worked incredibly hard to manage the relationships with our landlords, supporting local partners, and focusing on the needs of the corporate travel market,” Turner said.

“The opening of Quest Mt Maunganui will support all of our existing corporate clients as well as open up the opportunity for new clients to experience the boutique apartment hotel that is Quest.

“Our goal is always to have properties in the best location with access to the amenities that make a stay at a Quest easy and uncomplicated.”

The property will be operated by Franchise Directors, Avelien and Tere Strickland. Avelien is no stranger to Quest having worked in the Quest Corporate Office for a number of years before re-locating to the Bay of Plenty in anticipation of taking on this opportunity.

“After fifteen years working in various roles in the Quest Corporate Office, when Quest Mt Maunganui came up I saw it as the perfect opportunity to continue my career with Quest as a Franchise Director and return to my hometown,” said Avelien Strickland.

“Tere and I are excited to immerse ourselves and our family in to ‘The Mount’ community and apply our previous business experiences with the Quest brand and its best practices.”
