Accor’s popular midscale brand Novotel is investing in partnerships and events to strengthen and communicate its wellness offering to guests.

The hotel brand has stuck a deal with leading sleep and mediation app, Calm to offer guests free access to relaxation content in a bid to aid sleep, lower stress and reduce anxiety.

By scanning a QR code on check-in, guests will gain access to Calm Mini, offering a curated selection of meditations, stories and relaxing music.

Accor Pacific CEO, Sarah Derry, said investment activity is aimed at highlighting Novotel’s extensive amenities for guests including its gyms, swimming pools, dining and bar options.

“We are focused on providing customers with memorable, unique and special experiences,” Derry said.

“This has led us to investing in creating a mini app with Calm for our guests, who can download the app at check in or when they are in their hotel room. The app has been created to help guests relax, meditate and sleep better. We hope this will make their stay even more unforgettable.”

To celebrate Global Wellness Day on June 10, a number of Novotel hotels are holding wellness experiences for guests such as meditation and yoga.

“The new experience economy for our industry goes beyond a hotel stay and broadens our offering to provide our customers with unique access to added value experiences,” Derry added.

“We want to reward our loyal guests for staying with us with unparalleled service and innovative offerings.”
