Pan Pacific Hotels Group has announced two hotel openings in Japan’s capital city of Tokyo this week, Bellustar Tokyo, a Pan Pacific Hotel and Hotel Groove Shinjuku, a Parkroyal Hotel.

“The opening of the two iconic hotels marked a key milestone for the Pan Pacific Hotels Group as we expand into Japan,” said Pan Pacific Hotels Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Choe Peng Sum.

“The strategic and long-standing partnership with Tokyu Hotels and Resorts over the years gave us the opportunity to bring our international brands and their unique experiences to travellers in Tokyo.”

Bellustar Tokyo is a luxury 97-room hotel located on the upper floors of 48-storey Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, the first skyscraper designed by a woman in Japan.

There are five luxurious one-bedroom penthouse suites, each featuring a spacious living room, kitchen, and bar, on the 45th to 47th floor, and the largest Sky Villa penthouse on the 47th floor features a spa treatment room, kitchen and jacuzzi. All guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over city skyline.

There is also a Penthouse Lounge, located on the 46th floor, exclusively for penthouse guests to have private meetings, gatherings, and afternoon teas.

A 24/7 personal butler service is available on request and a private chef is available to curate an in-room fine dining experience.

The hotel also features a spa, two restaurants and a bar.

The 538-room Hotel Groove Shinjuku is located on the 18th to 38th floor of the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower and reflects the vibrant entertainment scene of Shinjuku’s Kabukicho district.

The hotel collaborated with renowned local artists to create nine guest rooms depicting the ancient art history and culture of the area through unique furnishings and vibrant colours.

Dining and bar space Jam 17, located on 17th floor, features a rooftop terrace.

“It is an exciting time for Pan Pacific Hotels Group as we expand our footprint in Japan with the Japanese tourism industry rebounding in recent months following the relaxation of pandemic restrictions, with over 1 million arrivals in February this year,” said Pan Pacific Hotels Group Vice President, Operations for Japan, Indonesia and China, Marcel NA Holman.

“The opening of the Bellustar Tokyo, a Pan Pacific Hotel and Hotel Groove Shinjuku, a Parkroyal Hotel will give travellers to the city the newest experience, especially in the Shinjuku district and Tokyu Kabukicho Tower where the two properties are located, boasts a wide variety of exciting entertainment and nightlife options.”

Earlier this year, the group opened Parkroyal Langkawi and will open the 347-room Pan Pacific Orchard in June and the newly refurbished Pan Pacific Singapore this August.
