Bob van den Oord named as next Langham Hospitality Group CEO

Langham Hospitality Group has announced Bob van den Oord as its next Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Brett Butcher, who is stepping down from the position.

Butcher, an Australian national, took up the CEO position in 2021, seven years after he departed the organisation from the same role.

He will retain responsibilities within Great Eagle as well as CEO of Langham Hospitality Investment Ltd.

Van den Oord, a senior leader at Langham for the last 20 years, has previously served as COO and Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing. He is currently Regional Vice President – Europe, Middle East and North America.

He will officially commence the CEO role from September 1, 2023.

Lo also thanked Butcher for his “visionary” leadership.

“The changes he has initiated to the company’s global strategy, and organisational structure leaves the group better positioned for success in a post-pandemic world,” Lo said.
