Accor has opened a Mercure hotel on St Kilda Road – its 38th property in the city – after signing a deal with Albert Dadon (Ubertas Group), a renowned figure in Melbourne’s hospitality scene.

The hotel – located at 568 St Kilda Road – underwent an extensive refurbishment to meet Mercure’s design standards before reopening as Mercure Melbourne St Kilda Road on March 1.

The hotel features 145 rooms, including 20 two-bedroom apartments, a full-size gym, parking, and a restaurant and bar.

Accor said Dadon’s involvement in arts and jazz scene brings a unique flair to the hotel.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Albert Dadon and the Ubertas Group team, who share our passion for hospitality and commitment to giving back to the community,” said Accor Pacific CEO Sarah Derry.

In an effort to connect guests to the local cultural scene through, a selection of artworks are displayed on the walls of guestrooms, the lobby, and common areas, and the hotel offers a schedule of intimate events.

The Ubertas Group Founder and CEO said he is thrilled to unveil the new hotel in partnership with Accor.
