HoneyBadger/Simplifi, along with our partner, Ruckus recently completed a full Network Upgrade as part of Silky Oaks $20m renovation project under the new ownership of Bailey Lodges.  Built in the 1980’s, this five-star resort in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest suffered from aging cabling infrastructure and legacy technology added over the years.

The renovations were seen as the perfect time to bring the infrastructure and Technology up to date. Simplifi were engaged to Design, Construct, Install and Manage the new Network going forward.  This involved replacing legacy Cat3 copper cabling with Fibre Optic throughout the resort, with Ruckus Wireless and Wired Network Infrastructure using the new Ruckus Fibre Backpack Technology and WiFi6 Access Points.

In addition to the Network, our team installed and now manage their new IP Phone System, Internet Connections, SIP Trunks and a state of the art CCTV system.  The Silky Oaks Resort now has a single point of contact for all IT services with our in-house 24/7 Australian based support team.

Their “INVISIBLE” network will ensure that guests are having a great technical experience without realising it.
