Outrigger Hotels and Resorts has this week (Aug 1) introduced a fully renovated beachfront resort in Thailand after over a year in the works.

Koh Samui Beach Resort, acquired by Outrigger in July 2021, features 44 premium category rooms, a redesigned main lobby area, and refreshed leisure and fitness facilities.

In November, a further 102 superior rooms, each complete with private balcony, will open well as an all-day dining restaurant and a fourth swimming pool.

Premium rooms at the property feature spacious living quarters, a four-poster bed, relaxing tropical decor and a marble bathroom with separate shower and bathtub.

The redesign was led by Bangkok-based architectural firm Santhaya + Associates, a longstanding design partner of the hospitality brand.

Located at Lamai Beach and including the Edgewater beach club – featuring three pool zones and a kids’ water slide – the resort is ideal for families. Kids can also enjoy the Coral Kids Club and game room.

“We are really excited by the whole Edgewater family beach club concept, which is the first of its kind in this part of the island,” said Koh Samui Beach Resort General Manager, Leah Matters.

“With the Voyager 47 Club and a colonial beach house feel throughout the property, Outrigger has created a truly memorable and unique beach holiday experience.”

Outrigger has opened four properties across Asia in the last six months including Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort, Outrigger Khao Lak Beach Resort, Outrigger Surin Beach Resort in Phuket and Outrigger Maldives Maafushivaru Resort.
