Vivid returns to Sydney this weekend for a 12th run of the lights festival (May 27 – Jun 18), and local hotels are ready to captialise on the influx of visitors to the city by hosting their own activations for guests.

Ovolo Hotels is inviting guests board its luxury bridge deck cruiser, Suellen, to enjoy the festival from the water.

Ovolo Woolloomooloo’s 90-minute Vivid Sydney Harbour cruise will take guests on a journey around the harbour taking in Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Fort Denison, Garden Island and Cockatoo Island.

Guests can enjoy bottled cocktails, beers and wines, alongside gourmet canapes on their voyage, before disembarking to enjoy an exclusive Vivid menu at Alibi Bar.

Meanwhile, Marriott Bonvoy is marking the festival with an illuminated bubble bath at the doorstep of Pier One Sydney Harbour, as well as a glowing pop-up laneway bar by Sydney Harbour Marriott.

Marriott will also have a Vivid Sydney Lights Harbour Cruise departing from the Pier One Pontoon during weekends.

The giant bubble bath at Walsh Bay is a playful installation, by Atelier Sisu, of 150 illuminated orbs along the floating boardwalk. This ‘Ephemeral Oceanic’ exhibit sits right at the doorstep of the hotel

Pier One Sydney Harbour’s Bridge Marquee will be transformed into a illuminated bar in the evenings on weekends where guests can enjoy a beverage package with share plates and platters.

Marriott will also have themed dining offerings across its Sydney hotels throughout the festival.
