IHG Hotels and Resorts’ new Vignette Collection portfolio of properties has officially integrated Brisbane’s Hotel X as its first member property in Australia.

The luxury Fortitude Valley property has joined IHG’s conversion brand, aimed at independent hoteliers looking to retain their own identity while connecting to IHG’s sales, marketing and distribution programs along with the IHG Rewards loyalty program.

The Vignette Collection’s Hotel X is located in Fortitude Valley.

Hotel X features 146 rooms and suites along with three flexible meeting spaces including an open terrace overlooking Brunswick Street. Dining offerings include Mediterranean rooftop bar and restaurant, Iris, and bistro bar Bisou Bisou which will serve a variety of French-inspired delicacies using locally sourced ingredients. The hotel also offers guests a rooftop pool.

“With its distinctive design and premium facilities, Hotel X celebrates this iconic Brisbane neighbourhood through ultra-cool art, Avant Garde lighting and showstopping design,” said Hotel X General Manager, Daniel Moran.

Hotel X’s One Bedroom Suite features a bathroom with a great view.

“When the hotel opened nearly one year ago, we felt that it had such a distinctive blend of luxury and extravagant interior design with an ‘X’ factor that could not quite be defined. When Vignette was born in August this year, we agreed that there was no better fit than a brand that celebrates the individuality of our luxury hotel in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

“We are already a proud member of the IHG family, and to add the Vignette Collection signage to the door today as the very first hotel in the collection feels like a special moment for all involved.”

Hotel X has firmly integrated itself with the local community, aligning with a local school to encourage students wishing to take up careers in hospitality and tourism. Opportunities available to eager students include on-the-job learning and behind-the-scenes tours to see the inner workings of the hotel.
