Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park is on track to open in December.

Early December has been set as the most likely opening window for New Zealand’s first new-build Holiday Inn in over a decade, as Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park prepares to welcome its first guests.

First announced at AHICE two years ago, the 182-room property will headline a rapidly evolving Frankton lifestyle precinct which features multiple new hotels and resorts, residential neighbourhoods and recreational attractions in line with the area’s ski fields and outdoor activities. The hotel will be located five minutes from Queenstown Airport and 30-minutes to the Remarkables ski field.

Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park will also become the brand’s first in New Zealand to feature the brand’s ‘Open Lobby’ concept which has gradually rolled out across the globe and recently arrived in Australia at Holiday Inn Werribee’s opening in July.

The lobby will feature flexible spaces for guests to dine, socialise and host meetings with venues and lounges including a stylish fireplace, ‘Giants’ restaurant and bar, media lounge and E-Bar with free WiFi, wireless printing and plenty of power sockets for guests to charge their devices.

A fitness centre and secure drying room will allow skiers to leave their equipment to dry out for the following day.

Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park General Manager, Mathew Simister, said the hotel will set a new benchmark for the brand in New Zealand.

“As the brand’s first new-build hotel in New Zealand in a decade, Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park will impress with its modern design encapsulating the local surrounds, mountain views and vibrant local fare.
