Here are some of the major moves we’ve seen in the past week.

A new General Manager is now in place at Club Wyndham Ballarat, with Wyndham Destinations Asia-Pacific introducing Philip Blain as the new man in charge. A native of the Western districts of Victoria, Blain returns to his heartland and joins Club Wyndham Ballarat from his most recent role at The Como MGallery by Sofitel. He has also held key leadership roles overseeing large-scale refurbishments and customer service improvements.

Skye Suites Parramatta GM, Quercy Jouannes.

The Koichi Takada-designed Skye Suites Parramatta has welcomed Quercy Jouannes as its new General Manager. Fluent in five languages and originally hailing from France, Jouannes brings 20 years of hospitality experience gained from a variety of roles across Sales, Marketing and Operations in Australia, Europe and the USA.

Kokomo Island Director of Sales and Marketing, Sharon Byrne.

Following the announcement of international borders to Fiji opening from December 1, Kokomo Private Island Fiji has introduced Sharon Byrne as its new Director of Sales and Marketing. Based in Sydney, Byrne is highly versed in luxury hospitality, bringing a decade of experience with each of IHG and Langham Hospitality. Experienced in relaunching luxury properties after periods of hiatus, Byrne is eager to put her skills to promote and project Kokomo Private Island to high-end luxury seekers.

Kempinski Hotels Chief Financial Officer, Isidoro Geretto.

Kempinski Group’s Supervisory Board has confirmed the appointment of Isidoro Geretto as Chief Financial Officer. Backed by four decades of industry and financial experience, Geretto has a proven track record in corporate, operational and property-level finance and business structure. Geretto has spent the past year as Acting CFO for the company and has now been made permanent in this role, where he will strengthen the business and guide its financial performance globally.

Cordis Auckland Front Office Manager, Erhard Schmucker.

Returning to his birth nation of New Zealand, Erhard Schmucker has taken on the role of Front Office Manager at Cordis Auckland. Schmucker, who began his career with Langham Hospitality Group, has spent the past decade working in the Middle East including Front Office roles with Mondrian in Qatar and with Marriott International in Dubai, working at JW Marriott and Sheraton Grand in the Emirati city.
