Club Wyndham's new General Managers, David Smith and Mary-Jane Moffat.

Wyndham Destinations has appointed two new leaders to take charge in General Manager roles at Club Wyndham properties in North Queensland and New Zealand.

At Club Wyndham Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays, which joined the portfolio in 2019, the company has named the experienced David Smith as General Manager. Smith heads north to Airlie Beach from his most recent role overseeing Binna Burra Lodge on the Gold Coast and also brings experience in senior roles across resorts, restaurants and holiday clubs in Australia and the UK.

Over in New Zealand, the company has welcomed Mary-Jane Moffat as Resort Manager at Club Wyndham Wanaka in the country’s south.

Moffat moves into the role already highly familiar with the Wanaka region, having owned and operated a motel and holiday letting business in nearby Te Anau.

Wyndham Destinations Senior Vice President of Hotel and Resort Operations, Warren Cullum, said he believed the two new appointments will be strong leaders at their respective properties.

“David is a highly motivated individual with a proven track record. He also has in-depth knowledge about the best way to run a mixed-use property, and this, combined with an extensive food and beverage background, makes him the perfect fit for leading the Club Wyndham Airlie Beach team,” Cullum said.

“Mary-Jane has a wealth of experience, skills and local knowledge gained over her time spent in the region and the hospitality industry.”
