Frasers Hospitality Australia has welcomed Jip Van Driest to the newly created role as its new Director of Development Australia, tasked with the responsibility of identifying acquisition opportunities and developing new markets.
Van Driest joins from StayWell Group, where she held the role of Development Director APAC. Frasers’ new appointee brings more than a decade in various hotel and development roles across Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Currently, Frasers Hospitality operates four properties in Australia – Fraser Suites Sydney, Fraser Suites Perth, Fraser Place Melbourne and Capri by Fraser Brisbane.
Frasers Hospitality Country General Manager, Matthew Rubie, said the team was delighted to welcome Van Driest to the company.
“As we continue to grow our presence in the Australian market, it was important for us to have someone locally based to help drive business and Jip’s hotel investment and operational experience will be invaluable,” he said.
