Guests can now confirm their interconnecting rooms on Hilton's website and Honors app.

Families and groups requiring interconnecting rooms can now book and guarantee to suit their needs under a newly launched online booking tool from Hilton.

The technology, known as ‘Confirmed Connecting Rooms’, allows travellers booking on Hilton’s website and Hilton Honors loyalty app the ability to confirm guaranteed interconnecting rooms for their groups at any participating property across the company’s 18 operating brands. Hilton has begun the global rollout of the functionality, which is now available across its global websites.

Hilton said Confirmed Connecting Rooms was developed following extensive customer research and the desire among travellers to customise the space and experience they needed.

To avail the feature, guests can select the required number of rooms with a minimum of two, select their destination and dates to begin the booking. When selecting their room, guests can then tick a box to enable interconnecting and then select each room needed from those available.

Hilton Sydney recently spent AUD$25 million on a refurbishment of its 587 guest rooms.

Hilton Senior Vice President and Commercial Director, Asia-Pacific, Ben George, said he was delighted to be able to introduce the feature for guests.

“Over recent months, we’ve seen business start to return across various markets in Asia, with domestic leisure travellers being the first to plan their trips again as they look to reunite and reconnect with family and friends,” he said.

“With more than a century of welcoming guests through our doors, we’ve always recognised the importance of being able to confirm connecting rooms at the time of booking.

“As an industry-first, we are confident it will set Hilton’s hotels apart and create renewed confidence in the booking experience for our guests at a time when people are starting to once again be planning ahead for travel.”
