The Sydney Opera House lights up with colourful stories during Vivid each year.

Organisers of Vivid Sydney have issued a call for the city’s hotels, restaurants and local attractions to get involved in the return of the acclaimed Vivid Festival by taking part in its new Local Business Program.

As part of a collective effort to stimulate the city and encourage visitors to visit, dine and stay, the newly launched program will help to facilitate access to colourful signage and decoration for businesses to showcase their creativity as part of the festival, which runs from 6-28 August 2021.

Through the program, businesses can access transparent LED screens, window decals and posters and are being encouraged to engage with the visiting public by designing and installing their own interpretation of what Vivid Sydney means to them.

Modest decorations such as this can advertise special offers to city visitors.

The return of Vivid Sydney is set to amaze audiences for the duration of its run through a myriad of colourful and vibrant installations on landmarks across the city. The multi-week schedule of events will include activities for families, music performances and creative discussions designed to foster the sharing of ideas.

A variety of decorations can be ordered, with material available in three tiers depending on the location of your business as it relates to installation sites. Businesses applying for Tiers 1 and 3 will require a listing on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse via its ‘Get Connected’ program.

Local businesses can register their interest by June 21 at the following website.
