Club Wyndham Ballarat is inviting its guests to indulge in some gold panning.

A variety of guest activities and experiences have been introduced by Wyndham Destinations Asia-Pacific resorts in Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific resorts as extra value-add and socially distanced options to guests.

Many of the activities are in line with local attractions and the individual appeal and story of each region. The range will be available at 22 Club Wyndham South Pacific resorts free of charge to Club Wyndham members and available at a small cost to resort guests.

Among the selection for guests include panning for gold at Club Wyndham Ballarat, aligning with the town’s proud gold rush heritage. Others include a jumping castle and outdoor movie theatre at Ramada Resort by Wyndham Phillip Island, while a petting zoo with alpacas, chickens and goats more has been introduced at Club Wyndham Seven Mile Beach in Hobart.

Hop on some go-carts at Ramada Resort Phillip Island.

Other resorts will offer more generic activities including mountain biking, fire pits, stand-up paddle boarding, boogie boards, fishing equipment and more. All activity equipment will be sanitised after each use, while regular maintenance and replacement will ensure these items remain in good condition.

Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific Senior Vice President Operations, Warren Cullum, said the range of family-friendly activities was introduced to make use of the vast open space at the disposal of many of its properties and to reflect the charm of each region.

“When theme parks and attractions temporarily closed or introduced restrictions due to COVID-19, we decided to introduce more family-friendly activities to resorts for guests and club members to enjoy while holidaying with us,” he said.

“Our team focused on creating holiday experiences so our guests could make even more memories with their families and friends while staying at our resorts.”
