Lancemore Group acquired Cleveland Winery in the Victorian Macedon Ranges earlier this year.

Boutique accommodation operator, Lancemore Group, has expanded its regional Victorian property portfolio with the purchase of the Cleveland Winery Estate in Lancefield.

The company was the winner among a group of eight bidders vying for the site, located in the regional Victorian town of Lancefield and a short drive from another of the group’s properties in Lancemore Macedon Ranges, around an hour from Melbourne.

Cleveland Winery is a working vineyard and features a 50-room hotel and an 1880s homestead which can itself accommodate up to 12 people. Facilities on the expansive 40 hectare site include seven conference spaces, a restaurant with alfresco desk, underground cellar door and landscaped gardens. The sale of the property was facilitated by JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group.

Cleveland Winery features 50 guest rooms and a large restaurant among other facilities.

Lancemore Group CEO, Julian Clark, said the company planned to refurbish the property and operate it as part of its portfolio of regional properties which also includes Lancemore Lindenberry Red Hill, Lancemore Mansion Hotel Werribee Park and Lancemore Milawa in the state’s north.

“We feel that Cleveland Winery has some outstanding repositioning potential and our intention is to refurbish the property and operate it for generations to come,” he said.

“We love an opportunity to put the Lancemore touches on an existing asset and we are really excited about the future of Cleveland Winery.”
