A new conference organisation services and operations division combining in-house and virtual components has been launched by Event Hospitality in an effort to stimulate the meetings and business events market, HM can reveal.

The platform, dubbed Event Conference Connect, is a hybrid effort combining the services of the company’s Rydges, QT and Atura brands, enabling conference delegates to conduct business meetings, conferences and gatherings in multiple locations. The platform provides businesses with a centralised management team which can assist with booking and managing multiple event spaces, catering, accommodation and technical requirements such as audio-visual needs, which will be overseen from one central control room.

The company says Conference Connect has been designed to debunk the myth that spreading delegates over multiple sites is too difficult and expensive, with state-of-the-art AV equipment can be utilised at an affordable price structure.

Professional events and meetings can be coordinated in one place with the new Event Hospitality platform.

Event Hospitality Head of Sales, Travis Smith, said in a COVID-safe environment, traditional conferencing and events has had to be reimagined to rely more heavily on technology.

“A major part of team building relies on bringing people together to share, collaborate and establish strong business relationships, and in the past, this was often done over a number of days through conferencing, dinner and networking events,” he said.

Smith added the Conference Connect structure has been designed to allow businesses to come together and meet, while taking heed of social distancing, travel and physical capacity limitations.

“We have seen that perceived complexities have led to a common misconception that virtual conferencing has to be hard and expensive to execute.

“Through Event Conference Connect, we are able to challenge this notion and revolutionise the way event organisers and businesses approach organising virtual events and conferences.

“Our specialised team can assist with arranging virtual events of all sizes drawing on the extensive Event network of properties located across Australia and NZ – in metro, suburban and regional areas – bringing physical satellite events and technology together to deliver bespoke solutions to fit any organisation’s requirements.”
