One of the 10 luxury rooms at Hotel Fitzroy Curated by Fable.

Bourgeoning boutique hotel brand, Fable Hotels and Resorts, has officially roared into life with the opening of its first property, the Hotel Fitzroy, curated by Fable, in the Auckland suburb of Ponsonby.

The 10-suite hotel features as part of a heritage two-storey villa, with guests able to take advantage of brand hallmarks including a personal host taking care of all guest needs. The CPG Hotels brand adopts a heavy focus on sustainability, with environmentally-friendly bathroom amenities and wooden room key cards.

Guests are encouraged to mingle and socialise with each other via a variety of shared social spaces within the hotel including the main restaurant, which features menus loaded with local produce from Executive Chef, Jinu Abraham. A schedule of ‘hosted moments’ and social activities is also available for guests to participate.

Hotel Fitzroy General Manager, Chris Dickinson, said the hotel’s social culture is a key defining hallmark for the brand.

“Fitzroy’s hosts get to know each guest and understand what they’re seeking from their Auckland stay,” Dickinson said.

“Hotel Fitzroy will be a fantastic addition to the vibrant Ponsonby neighbourhood but will also set a new benchmark for boutique hotels in Auckland,” he added.
