Quest Perth Ascot will be ready for guests by September, the company says.

Final construction is taking place at Quest Perth Ascot – the serviced apartment operator’s latest foray into Western Australia, with the property remaining on track to open in September 2020.

The 112-apartment hotel is the second Quest developed by M/Group and will be well placed to serve industrial areas in Kewdale, Bayswater, Belmont and nearby Perth Airport. The new franchise will sit near to Ascot Racecourse, Perth Airport and will be a key component in the ongoing redevelopment of the Belmont Park business hub.

Quest Perth Ascot will feature 112 apartments ranging from studios to two bedrooms.

Quest Apartment Hotels General Manager – Growth, James Shields, said he was proud the company was able to continue supporting local communities and the national economy during a tough time for the nation.

“Bespoke furniture, fixtures and equipment is a key part of the Quest Ascot build, along with unique photographic artwork drawing inspiration from the local environment and history,” he said.

“Quest look to build properties where our corporate guests want to stay. With easy access to Perth Airport, the surrounding business areas of Belmont, Welshpool and Kewdale as well Ascot Racecourse, we expect Quest Ascot to be attractive to both corporate and leisure travellers.”

The hotel will be Quest’s 15th location in Western Australia.

M/Construction Director, Michael Read, said that with a workforce of over 1,000, it had been quite a task introducing COVID-19 safety measures on-site but that the crew had adapted to social distancing, staggered lunch breaks and increased cleaning rotations.

“Despite the exceptional conditions, the project has been built in an extraordinary timeframe by using a pre-cast system, enabling one floor level to be built each fortnight.”
